1. Look out the venue first -

The first and most important thing which you have to do before shooting an event is to take a visit to that place and inspect some of the following :
The performance - It is very important for you to know which type of performance is going to be performed there. It helps you in positioning the cameras.
Available Electrical outlets -  You should look out to the electrical outlets whether it is ok according to your camera positions or not, if not so you have to arrange electrical outlets and whether you have enough batteries to shoot the entire show.
Best camera placements - The position of the camera is very important for any concert. You should have to decide the position of the camera according to performance is to be done. The position would be like that mic would not interrupt the face of the singer. Always choose a wide-angle to shoot the whole stage.
